CareHub

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 20, 2026 (replaces the July 9, 2026 version — updated to cover the document vault, push notifications, our first-party usage analytics, the in-app feedback tool, and the built-in export and deletion features)

CareHub ("CareHub," "we," "us," "our") provides a family caregiver coordination app that helps families and caregivers coordinate care for a loved one. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use advertising trackers.

Information we collect

Usage analytics — what they do and don't contain

We measure how CareHub is used with our own, first-party events — for example "a visitor viewed the home page," "a hub was created," or "a dose was checked off." These events contain names of actions, not care content: no medication names, readings, notes, document names, or message text are ever included. We use no third-party analytics services and no advertising pixels. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we don't record analytics events while you browse signed out.

How we use information

Text messaging (SMS)

If you opt in to text notifications, we use your mobile number to send account and care-coordination text messages, such as reminders and update alerts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with, sold, or rented to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in and consent information is never shared with any third parties.

Push notifications

If you turn on medication reminders or dose alerts, your browser creates a push subscription for that device, which we store so we can deliver those notifications. Notification content is kept minimal. You can turn push notifications off anytime in Settings or in your browser, which invalidates the subscription.

Who can see what inside a hub

Within a care hub, what each member sees is controlled by the hub coordinator's access choices — for example, a driver can be given the visit schedule without access to medications, vitals, or the Vault. These restrictions are enforced by our servers on every request, not just hidden in the app's interface.

How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the service, with providers who may use it solely to provide those services to us: cloud hosting and content delivery (Cloudflare), our database, authentication, and file storage (Supabase), email delivery (Resend), text messaging (Twilio), and our private issue tracker for feedback reports (GitHub). We may also disclose information if required by law. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, database-level access rules that limit every request to the hubs and sections a person is entitled to, and private document storage with short-lived access links. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your hub is active. Two controls are built into the app, no email required: a coordinator can export the hub's data (Settings → Your data) and a coordinator can delete the entire hub (Settings → Danger zone) — deletion is immediate and irreversible and removes the hub's care records and documents. Analytics events are identifiers only and may be retained in aggregate. We may keep limited records where the law requires it (for example, evidence of a text-messaging opt-in or opt-out).

Your choices

Children's privacy

CareHub is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
